CARTHAGE. First Punic War. Circa 264-241 BC. 1 1/2 Shekels – Tridrachm (Electrum, 23 mm, 10.73 g, 12 h), reduced standard. Head of Tanit to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earring and elaborate necklace. Rev. Horse standing right; above, ouraios. Jenkins & Lewis 428-446. MAA 30. A very well centered and attractive piece. Very fine.
